So, for every "ordered pair" the 1st number is the x-value and the 2nd number is the y-value.
y = (1/5)x - 2
1st ordered pair: (-20, ____)
The x-value is -20, so replace x with that number and solve for y.
y = (1/5)(-20) - 2
y = -4 - 2 = -6
(-20, -6)
2nd ordered pair: (____, -1)
The y-value is -1, so replace y with that number and solve for x.
-1 = (1/5)x - 2
+2. +2
1 = (1/5)x
(5)1 = (1/5)x × 5
x = 5
(5, -1)
