maybe you meant to write

(-4,2), (3,7), (3,2), (-4,7),

that's a rectangle with area = 7 by 5 = 35

the points given though

(4,-2), (3,7), (3,2), (-4,7) are a quadrilateral, but not a rectangle

It's area = about 26

It's a 4 sided polygon, break it up into triangles and calculate the areas of them, sum them up
