What equation would you write so that the vertex is at (-3,5) and the graph opens down? You can go back to experiment some more if you need to.

There is a quick trick using the vertex form:
y = a(x-h)2 + k
- (h,k) = vertex ( in this case -3,5)
- x = axis = h (-3)
- a = rate/slope
- Positive number = opens up
- Negative number = opens down
- Example: -8 ( -3- (-3))2 + 5
