A student would like to estimate the height of statue.The length of a statues right arm is 57 feet. The students right arm is 2 feet long and her height is 5 1/3 feet. Use this information to estimate the height of the statue. How close is the approximate height to the statues actual height of 151 feet, 3 inches from heel to top of the head?

This problem assumes that the anatomical features of the statue are in the same proportion as the student's. The proportion is

57/2=x/(16/3).
