use a calculator if you have trouble with the fractions

negative times a negative = positive, so ignore the signs

2 1/2 = 2+1/2 = 4/2 +1/2 = (4+1)/2 = 5/2

3 3/4 = 3+3/4 = 12/4+3/4= (12+3)/4=15/4

(5/2)(15/4) = (5)(15)/(2)(4) = 75/8

= (72+3)/8 = 72/8+3/8=9 3/8
