There are 47 boys in the class. This is three more than four times the number of girls. How many girls are there in the class?

Given:

Suppose the number of girls = A

Number of boys=B= 47

Condition:

As per the given conditions

4A+ 3 = B

Solution:

4A+3=47

4A=47-3

A= 44/4

A= 21

Hence , there are 11girls are in the class.
