Math verbal problem 3

Juan is five year older than Miguel. And Juan have half the age of Pedro. Find the ages

Something is missing from the question. For example if Miguel is 11, then Juan is 16 and Pedro is 32. But if Miguel is 12, Juan is 17, and Pedro is 34. This could go on forever. So review your question for completeness.

F/2 + 3S = 4T-16




T=S+1


S=F+1


T=F+2




F/2 +3(F+1) = 4(F+2) -16


F/2 +3F +3 = 4F +8 -16




F/2 = 3+16-8 = 11


F = 22


S= 23


T =24






22/2 +3(23) = 4(24)-16


11+69 = 96-16


80 = 80




Smallest = 22 years old = Juan's age


Second = 23 years old = Pedro's age


Third = 24 years old = Miguel's age
