How do I find consecutive integers? As in the numbers that the integers are?

The equation is, “Find two consecutive even integers whose sum is 46.” And I know the “outline”(n + (n+2) = 46) but I don’t know how to get the exact number that the integer is. Like if one of the numbers was 25, how did you get that number?
