Hi, Lorelei!
Since the y values are the same for both points, the equation of the line would have to be y = -3.
I hope this helps!
Best, Karen

y=-3
is a line through both points.
just set y = the common y coordinate, -3
It's a flat, horizontal line, with zero slope
if you wanted you could calculate the slope m= (-3- -3)/(-8-7) = 0/15 = 0
then plug that into the slope intercept form of the equation for a line
y=mx+b where m=0
y=(0)x +b = x+b
plug in either point to calculate b
-3 = (0)(7) = b = 0+b
b = -3
y=(0)x -3 in slope interecept form which reduces to
y=-3
or plot the 2 points and connect them with a straight line. Notice the line is flat, horizontal, with zero slope and has a y intercept, b, = -3
y=mx +b
y=(0)x-3
y=-3
