Start with y = mx + b.
The slope m = -7.
Now plug on the x and y coordinates to solve for b.
-5 = -7(2) + b
-5 = -14 + b
b = 9
Slope intercept form is: y = -7x + 9
Rearranging to standard form means bringing the variables over to one side:
y + 7x = 9
Rearranging the terms, we get:
7x + y = 9
