to find the intercepts,
set x=0 and solve for y
set y=0 and solve for x,
do that for the quadratic and you get 2 imaginary x intercepts: +/-sqr(-1/2) = i/sqr2, -i/sqr2
y=5x+3 is an upward sloping straight line
y intercept: (0.3)
x ntercept: (-3/5, 0) =(-0.6, 0)
y=6x+2 is another upward sloping straight line
y-I: (0,2)
x-I: (-1/3)
y=2x^2 +1 is an upward opening parabola
y-I: (0,1) = vertex=minimum
x:I: none
axis of symmetry: x=0
no asymptotes for any of the equations
