dot the lines to show the graph does not include the lines
x=2 is a vertical line. x=6 is a vertical line
shade in everything between the two vertical lines
or if you're doing one dimenstional graphing, put open dots at x=2 and x=6 connect them with a solid line segment. the open dots mean the graph does not include the points.
