"One side of a triangle is 2 times the shortest side"
Okay, let's call this side B and the shortest side S. This means that B = 2 x S
"The third side is 11 feet more than the shortest side"
This third side, let's call it C, is 11 feet more. To express this in terms of math, we would say C = S + 11
"The perimeter is 75"
Remember perimeter is all the sides added up, so S + B + C = 75
But we know what B and C are:
S + B + C = 75
S + (2 x S) + (S + 11) = 75
4 x S + 11 = 75
4 x S = 64
S = 16
So the shortest side is 16 feet long, which means side B = 2 x 16 = 32 feet, and side C = 16 + 11 = 27 feet!
Hope this helps!
