f(8), f(7), and f(6) each differ by 2.

If such a difference were to continue, what would you expect f(-3) to be?

Right: (-1)!

So the function is linear with a a slope of minus 2, i.e.

y=-2x+b...and you should be able to figure the constant term from the values given.
