The area of a trapezoid is give by A= 1/2 (b1 + b2)h,
where b1= 4 feet and b2= 2 feet and h= 3feet. Find the area of the trapezoid with the dimensions with the given information.
how do I solve this? what is the correct answer?

A= 1/2(b1+b2)
A= 1/2(4+2)3
1/2* 6* 3
= 9

Hello Maya: Just Substitute thee numbers in place of the letter;
A= 1/2 (b1 +b2) h b1=4 b2-=2 h=3
A= 1/2 (4 + 2) 3
A= 1/2 (6) (3) A= 1/2 (9)
A = 4.5
