Do it in steps:
Do the multiplication/division 1st, then the addition/subtraction/
Quotient of a number and 3 is x/3.
15 decreased by that quantity is 15 - x/3
Finally, set up the equation ("is" is the equal sign)
15 - x/3 = 20
The product of a number and 7 is 7x.
4 less than that qty is 7x - 4
After the "is" comes 8 more than that number (x + 8)
7x - 4 = x + 8
