The diameter of a circular pond is 24 feet and will be installed inside of a rectangular meadow. The dimensions of the meadow are 60 feet by 90 feet. Once the pond is installed you will plant native grasses on the remaining land. (they will be installed everywhere except where the pond is located)

Area of the meadow is 60ft * 90ft = 5400sf

Area of the pond is π/4 * (24ft)² = (144π)sf

Area of the left over meadow is 5400sf - (144π)sf ∼ 4947.6sf

The cost of the seed is (5400sf - (144π)sf) * $0.05 = $247.38
