(-4,-3) and (2,-9) have a straight line through them: (-3- -9)/(-4 -2) = (6/-6)= -1 = (y+3)/(x+4)
slope =-1. for a line perpendicular, the slope is the negative inverse = +1
y =x +b where b is the y intercept.
Perpendicular through (-4,-3):
-3 =-4 +b
b =1
y = x+1 is the perpendicular line through one end point of the given line segment
Pependicular through (2,-9)
-9 =2+b
b=-11
y= x-11 is the perpendicular line through the other end point
