1st thing would be to use the distributive rule to eliminate the parentheses. In this equation, it's like multiplying the contents by -1. Then you'd probably want to combine the "like" terms on the left side of the equation. Those would be the two numerals. Then you need to get the "n" terms on one side of the equation and the numbers on the other by addition or subtraction. Combine like terms again, then divide both sides by the coefficient of n.
Always check your answer by substituting your result for n into the original equation to see if it "balances".
