but there's a contradictory premise, that f(1)=2, which is inconsistent with f(n)=f(n-1)+4
if f(1)=2 that's inconsistent with f(n)=f(n-1)+4 = f(1)=f(1-1)+4 = 0+4 = 4
2 doesn't equal 4
