Phoenix's answer is perfect. A different way to look at it: to get an average of 92, the differences from 92 must sum to 0, or the difference for the last grade must be the negative of the sum of the other differences.
(85 - 92) + (92 - 92) + (96 - 92) + (89 - 92) = -7 + 0 + 4 + -3 = -6
92 - -6 = 98
