Find the equation for the line that passes through the points (−1,1)(-1,1) and (−2,7)(-2,7). Give your answer in point-slope form. You do not need to simplify.

Point-slope form is y - y₁ = m(x - x₁). Using the 1st point, would be y - 1 = -6(x -(-1)) = -6(x + 1).

For 2nd point, y - 7 = -6(x - (-2) = -6(x +2).

Both convert to y = -6x - 5 in slope-intercept form.
