                         -4x + 2y = -10

solve for y

2y = 4x -10

y = 2x - 5 is the equation in slope intercept form. y=mx+b where m=slope and b= y intercept, so 2 = slope and -5 = the y intercept= the point (0,-5)

set y=0 and solve for x to find the x intercept

0 = 2x -5

2x = 5

x = 5/2 = the x intercept = the point (5/2, 0)
