Perpendicular lines have a negative reciprocal of your original slope.
So looking at the problem in terms of y=mx+b, your original slope is 6, so the negative reciprocal is -1/6.
Now we use the point slope form of y-y1=m(x-x1) Now we plug our numbers in ans simplify to standard form.
y-3=(-1/6)(x- (-12))
y-3=(-1/6 x) - 2
y = (-1/6 x) + 1
