Can use unit or dimensional analysis to set up calculation. Use conversion rate 1ft = 12 in.
100 in/min x 1 ft/12 in = 100/12 = 8 1/3 ft/min. Notice how the"inches" in the numerator of the 1st fraction "cancel" the "inches" in the denominator of the 2nd fraction, leaving the units that you wanted: ft/min.

Dimensional Analysis includes the use of the MULPLICATIVE IDENTITY (that is, 1) -- anything multiplied by 1 remains the same (only dimensions are different). 1 = 1 ft / 12 in07/12/22
