when you add 3f + 4f and subtract 2f, your left with 5f=125
you divided both sides by 5 and get f=25

Because all the terms are similar (same variable f), you can just add or subtract the numerical coefficients.
3f + 4f - 2f = 5f. so 5f = 125. Divide both sides by 5 to get the value for f. If you want to, you can check by substituting the answer in the equation.
