25.50x - 13.39x = 13.39(12)-4.5(12)

12.11x = 8.89(12)

x = 8.89(12)/12.11 = about 8.81 pounds of $25.50

mixed with 12 pounds of $4.50 to get 20.81 pounds of $13.39

$4.50 is closer to $13.39 than $25.50 is to $13.39, so you need more of $4.50 than of $25.50. 12 is more than 8.81

4.5 is within 8.89 of 13.39

25.5 is within 12.11 of 13.39

12.11/8.89 = 1.36 = 12/8.81
