Functions basic level 1

Determine k and m for the lines

a) y=(5-2x)/(7)

b) y=15

In my experience, the equation for a straight line is y = mx + b, where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept. Never ran into a "k" for a straight line function. y = 15 would have m = 0, for example (no "x" term and a y-intercept at 15).

The problem might have been taken from a foreign textbook or written by a foreign-educated teacher. In the UK it is y = mx + c. In Russia it is y = kx + b. Perhaps in some country it is y = kx + m
