Perimeter of a rectange = 2(L+W) = 2L+2W where L=length and W= Width
if L=W, it's a square and the perimeter = 4L =4W or 4 times the square's side.
for example, if L=2.4 inches and W = 1.2 inches
then perimeter =P = 2(2.4+1.2) = 2(3.6) = 7.2 inches
