A inflatable raft is dropped from a hovering helicopter to a boat in distress below. The height of the raft above the water in meters is y=750-10x², where x is in seconds.

a) What is the height of the helicopter above the water.

b) When does the raft reach the water?

c) What is the height of the raft above the water at 5 seconds after it is dropped?

d) When is the raft 350 m above the water?

h(0) = 750 m

0 = 750 - x^2

x= sqr750 = 5sqr30 sec

= about 27.4 seconds

h(5) =750-25 = 725 m

350= 750-x^2

x =20 sec
