How do you use "group in" in a sentence? Is "group in" considered as one of those phrasal verbs?

I got an assignment in which I had to fill the blanks with the appropriate phrases. It was a multiple-choice question. One of the questions was "Many people don't ... their culture." I know "Group in" was not the answer, the answer was "identify as". But now that question got me thinking what kind of sentence can be filled with "group in".

Thank you for the answer. Just to be sure, so "group in" is grammatically correct but no one uses it?

You’re welcome. No, “group in” is grammatically incorrect. Sorry for the typo in my response above. I just fixed it now. If someone uses “group in” in a sentence, they are in fact using it grammatically incorrectly.
