Math, microeconomics or criminal justice
Area = pi(r)^2 = pi(d/2)^2 where r= the radius and d= the diameter of the pizza
let s = the number of slices
then each slice has area = A/s = pi(r^2)/s or pi(d/2)^2/s = pid/4s = about 3.14d/4s = .785d/s square units
if diameter = 1 foot, then area = .785/s ft^2
if there are 6 slices, each has area = .785/6 = 0.1308 ft^2 = about 18.84 square inches if there are 6 slices and a one foot diameter pizza
there are 12^2 = 144 square inches in one square foot. .1308 times 144 = 18.84
