Jane has a bag of candy.She gives 8 pieces to her friend. Then janes grandmother buys Jane 5 more pieces of candy than she had origanally.Now Jane has 27 pieces of candy.How many pieces of candy were in janes bag orignally

J-8 + 5 + J = 27

2J= 27+8-5 = 30

J =30/2 = 15 pieces of candy originally in the bag

15 then down to 7 after giving away 8

7 added to 5+15 = up to 27
