7x^3 -5x^2 + 6x - 5
5+2 = 7 for the coefficient of the x^3 term
-5 just one x^2 term
7-1 = 6 = coefficient of the x term
-8 +3= -5 = the constant term
5x^3 + 7x -8 + (2x^3 -5x^2 -x +3)
= (5+2)x^3 -5x^2 + (7-1)x + (-8+3)
= 7x^3 -5x^2 + 6x -5
