The normal distribution curve is symmetrical about the mean (μ). As it has a total area = 1, 1/2 of the area falls to either side. Answer is (B) or 1/2.
You will also see that if you consult a normal distibution table. For z = 0 (0 std. deviations from the mean), the area under the curve to the left = 0.5000.
