5S + 7B = 69

multiply both sides by 2

10S +14B = 2(69) = 138

subtract 1st equation from the 3rd equation to get

14B-2B = 12B = 138-114 = 24

12B = 24

divide by 12

B = 24/12 = $2 for a Bunch of ornimental grass

S = (69-7(2))/5 = (69-14)/5 = 55/5 = $11 for a foot of grass Sod

10(11) +14(2) = 110+28 = 138

10(11) +2(2) = 110+4 = 114
