Find the volume of an average block of travertine. We are given 3 dimensions and weight. Volume is about space, not weight, so we can ignore the weight.
The formula for the Volume of a rectangular prism is width × length × height
If you're unsure of where to plug in each number, it actually doesn't matter because of the associative property of multiplication, which just says order doesn't matter in multiplication, i.e. 2 × 3 = 6 just like 3 × 2 = 6.
So we can just plug in all the 3 dimensions we were given!
V = w × l × h
V = 76cm × 76cm × 8cm
V = 46,208cm3
