A question about angle bisectors that's crazy hard.

If the angle bisectors of a triangle are congruent, prove it's an isosceles triangle.

After much thinking, me and friends weren't able to come up with a coherent proof, but I emailed a professor teaching at a university nearby, and she said it was a famous theorem. The Steiner Lehmus theorem. That's by far the hardest question I attempted to answer. Thanks!
