The distance around the meteor crater is the circumference. The formula that connects the circumference of a circle and its diameter is:

C = pi * diameter.

In that equation, you know C and pi. C = 9275 ft, pi = 22/7

9275 = (22/7)* diameter ---> diameter = 9275 ÷ (22/7)

diameter = 2951.14 ft
