You can treat inequalities just like equalities with ONE EXCEPTION which is, when you multiply or divide both sides by a negative number, you must switch the inequality around.
107 > 5 + 6x subtract 5 from both sides to get:
102 > 6x now divide both sides by 6 to get:
17 > x
If 17 is greater than "x", that means x < 17 so either of these is an acceptable solution.
