Grade 9 Algebra: Please Help!, Multiply Polynomial Expressions

A tennis court is surrounded by a fence so that the distance from each boundary (edge) of the tennis court to the fence is the same. If the tennis court is 75 feet long and 30 feet wide, then the dimensions of the fence would be (2x+75) and (2x+30) feet.

What is the expression for area of the entire surface inside the fence?

FOR YOUR CONSIDERATIOON: Most students would interpret "basic F-O-I-L" as a put-down. So, I wonder, is there any other kind of F-O-I-L that requires us to call this one 'basic'??

You and I, as math professionals, understand that FOIL is an acronym to help students, many of whom are struggling with algebra, to quickly multiply binomials. I often use the term 'extended FOIL' to show students how to multiply longer polynomials horizontally. The vertical approach which you used is also an acceptable way.
