Let t = number of tie die shirts

let s = number of silk shirts

t = 4 * s (1)

t + s = 200 (2)

substitute (1) into (2) for t:

4 * s + s = 200 => 5s = 200

so s = 40 and t = 160

he sells 160 tie-dye shirts
