Yes, there are 20 types of Amino Acids that are used as building blocks that human proteins can use. A human protein can be made of a few to many AAs in their structure. It depends on the complexity and the function of the protein. The smallest known proteins is about 44 AAs long while the largest can reach as many as 27,000 Amino Acids. But, things are a little more complicated as some proteins act alone (e.g. the structure is comprised of one subunit) while other proteins are composed of several subunits. Thus, multi-subunit proteins are going to typically be quite large due to the addition of the AAs of each of the subunits that comprises that particular proteins. The weight of a protein, which correlates directly with the Amino Acid composition, is measured in Daltons or Kilodaltons.
