I need help with making the equation…

Mr. Jagoda's orchard has 20 rows. Cherries are planted so that there are 9 fruits in one row, and berries so that there are 15 in a row. In how many rows are planted cherries, and how many berries if there are a total of 228 fruits?

Thank you but how did You get b+c= 20 from 228 = 15b + 9c?
