My current degree program is B.A. in psychology. Cognitive psychology best explains the self because cognitive psychology examines all of the neural (Brain) processes of the individual like thinking, attention, memory, and decision making which reveals the self. Also, I want to be a clinical psychologist, and I know a lot of what psychologists do is looking at their patients' thinking, memories, and decision making to help them achieve a better version of themselves.
