 per mile driven. The second plan has no initial fee but costs $0.80

 per mile driven. How many miles would Rafael need to drive for the two plans to cost the same?

cost = C = 50 + .6m = .8m

.8m - .6m = 50

.2m = 50

m = 50/.2 = 250 miles is when the two plans cost the same

drive more than 250 and the 1st plan is cheaper

drive less than 250 and the 2nd plan is cheaper

50+.6(250) = 50+150 = $200 for 1st plan

.8(250) = $200 for 2nd plan

250 miles makes both plans cost $200
