The volume of a cylinder can be determined by multiplying the area of the circular base by the height of the cylinder.
The area of a circle can be calculated from:
A = 3.14 r2
Since the diameter of the circular base is 36yards, the radius (r) will be half of that: 36÷2 = 18 yards
The height of the cylinder (h) is: 13 yards
The Volume will be :
V = Area of circular base • h
V = 3.14 r2 • h
V = 3.14 • 182• 13
V = 13225.68 yds3
