1. The length of a rectangle is 4 meters less than twice its width. The area of the rectangle is 70 m2. Find the dimensions of the rectangle.

L = 2W -4
A = LW = (2W-4)W = 2W^2 -4W = 70
W^2 -2W = 35
W^2 -2W + 1 = 36
W -1 = 6
W = 7 meters wide
L = 2(7)-4 = 10 meters long
