Getting the foundation right
This is a tricky problem, because its "same solutions as" implies that there's another equation besides the 2x^2 + x - 3 = 0 given. Factoring the left side will give you values of 1 and -1.5 for x. If you take these values and put them back as factors and multiply, you'll get an equation that's different from the original.
