Help me! I'm confused!!

Find base 2 of trapezoid when the area is 60 square feet height 6ft and base 1 is 12ft. And please help show me how you got it!!

you are given area, height and base 1. substitute those values into the above equation and solve for base 2.

6 x average of 12 and base 2 = 60

6(12+b2)/2 = 60

12+b2 =20

b2 = 20-12 = 8 feet

base 2 = 8 feet

average of 12 and 8 is 10

10 times 6 = 60
